点评:The ruins of Tlos are fabulous. Very glad we stopped here. The location is vast with no shade. There is very little signage. The site is best visited with a guide. As others have mentioned there is a gentleman giving tours who is an archaeologist and works at the site during excavation seasons. He will give you the history and show how this site was critically located in Lycia among the other cities off in the distance. There are numerous tombs all along the hills that are off limits and hard to access but with a guide you can explore them. The famous Bellerophon tomb is here and has carvings of the hero and his Pegasus. Several of the tombs still have working doors that slide, which is fabulous to see. Its very steep and slippery exploring the tombs. The site extends beyond what you see when parking. If you continue further up the road you will come to a theater and baths. The theater was closed during our visit. Bring lots of water if you plan to explore the full site. It could take up to 2-3 hrs.
