点评:These ruins are a worthwhile diversion on the way to Saklikent from Oludeniz/Fethiye.
Tickets are 3 euros each (free for primary age children) which is very good value for these ruins.
Even on the road up a couple of hundred metres from the gate, look for the view across to the impressive tomb of bellerophon.
Once at the site, you pass the stadium and its a little uphill to the citadel but really not top far. You can explore in some of the tombs and structures, some have inscriptions above the door and also sliding doors in place though to be fair we would have missed these without the companion we acquired!
A man saying he was not a guide and didn't have to pay him but worked with the history started pointing out aspects of interest. I've been to enough countries to know how this works and was all ready to brush him aside but to be fair to the fella I quickly realised he was pointing out all sorts of things we'd have missed on our own. So we let him do his thing then bought a couple of items from his "wife's" shop at the bottom for 5 euros total. To be fair, our kids wanted the items anyway, and they seemed decent items, so seemed a good deal for what was actually very useful guidance.
Anyhow, back to the ruins. You can climb tbe citadel via some narrow steps (but it's fine) for a great view over the site to the theatre and Bath House which you can also visit.
Even in August, it was peaceful and calm, though as we left a few party tour jeeps were showing up so maybe it's not always peaceful and calm!
