点评：Although Rothenburg is a beautiful town with much to see, the walls for me are the highlight. And they are free!
They are also a great rainy-day activity, as most of the walkway is covered.
They are almost, but not quite, continuous; if you want to do the complete circuit, you will have to venture into the town two or three times and find the stairway up to the next segment.
Besides giving you a slightly elevated overview of the city from different perspectives, the walls also have occasional openings which give you views to the outside. Because the walls weave in and out a bit, at places you can look through these openings and see good views of the town and walls in both directions.
If you don't have time for the complete wall, it's worthwhile to just choose one segment and walk it.
