A must for Sherlock Holmes fans, rather pleasant for everyone else
Portsmouth Museum and Art Gallery的点评
点评:I happened to be staying nearby, just across the road from Ravelin Park, so as I usually visit museums when touring and this one is free, I went along with my Dad. If you're any kind of fan of Sherlock Holmes, then the exhibits are quite marvellous and not to be missed. (Arthur Conan Doyle lived nearby in Elm Grove, there are 2 plaques on the wall at Bush House). The Southsea seaside history and the recreation of a 1960s living room are also rather enjoyable, as was the Portsmouth FC collection on the top floor. While I visited, it was pretty quiet so I had various rooms to myself, to look around in peace. The Pugin table on the top floor is easily missed, as is the 1920s GPO phone box outside, so keep an eye out for them both. Enjoyable and well worth a visit. I would have another look around if I'm in the area again.
