点评:This one hour tour is well worth the drive from Nashville, even if you aren't a Civil War history bluff. Evan, our guide, was enthusiastic, charming and knowledgeable (and at great pains to avoid controversy, which is itself a statement). The focus of the tour is equally on the remarkable Lotz family (a non-slave owning family recently immigrated from Germany) and the Battle of Franklin which took place on top of them (complete with maps showing the battle positions, bloodstained floors, etc...). This tour is best for teenagers with an interest in history and adults - not children.
Debrief afterwards next door at the Fainting Goat which has excellent coffee.
(By the way, if Civil War battlefield history is of interest to you, be sure to visit to the Civil War Medicine Museum in Frederick, MD when you go to Gettysburg.)
