点评:I have been to Barbados many times in the past and loved Rockley Beach . Unfortunately in March 2025 the beach was plagued with seaweed. It was floating in the water and left in huge swaths on the beach. I guess Barbados tourism/ government didn't make an effort to remove it. It was smelly and disgusting. After trying desperately to just live with it, we just couldn't. It floated around you, touching you, which is so gross. We retreated to the pool at the apartment we were staying in. The pool was lovely, but what is Barbados without the beach?? We tried to enjoy our holiday despite it, but we were still filled with disappointment. My sister stays at resorts in Mayan Riveria and says every evening people come to clean it off the beach. I have a hard time believing that Barbados tourism couldn't find workers to do the same. I realize it's a problem throughout the Caribbean but a much greater effort to remove it is needed on public beaches in Barbados, like Rockley. (Note: All beaches in Barbados are open to the public, except some are difficult to get to unless you go by boat).
