Unreal plane views and outstanding service from Sheldon
Sunset Bar & Grill的点评
点评：Two friends and I visited Sunset Bar & Grill next to Maho Beach in St. Maarten, and it was such a fun and memorable experience.
If you’re even slightly into planes, this place is incredible! You’re right by the beach watching everything from small planes to huge jets flying directly overhead. They also have a screen showing arrivals and landings, which makes it really easy to follow what’s coming in. I was with a friend who absolutely loves planes and it was basically his version of Disneyland!
I’m a wheelchair user and was really pleased with how accessible it was. As there are ramps, it’s easy to move around, and we had a great shaded table right by the beach with a perfect view. I’m also autistic and found the environment surprisingly manageable. The noise was consistent and predictable rather than sudden, which made it much more comfortable than expected.
The drinks were great value (there were deals like buckets of beers), and the cocktails were amazing. I highly recommend the BBC! The food is a bit pricier, but completely worth it for the location and views. My wings and fries were great, and my friend enjoyed her enchilada.
The real highlight though was our waiter, Sheldon. He was absolutely fantastic! He was warm, friendly and attentive, and really went out of his way to make sure we were comfortable and looked after. He understood my accessibility needs straight away, found us a great table, and checked in regularly without being intrusive. His energy and kindness genuinely made the whole experience.
If you’re visiting St. Maarten, I’d highly recommend coming here! Try to get a table near the front for the best views. It’s such a unique experience and somewhere we’ll be talking about for a long time.
