Mesmerising Meghalaya: Don't Miss it !!

点评：We visited Shillong and it's neighbouring places in Nov 23. The entire experience was awesome.
The heritage walk which starts at Ward's lake and takes you down memory lane of old Shillong ending at Police bazaar was an experience in itself.
We also visited Dawki and the boat ride on the Umngot river with it's crystal clear waters was very refreshing.
We could also see the plains of Bangladesh from there. The only problem was the roads towards Dawki was terrible and the ride was very difficult.
Our visit to the cleanest village of Asia- Mawlynnong was also an awesome experience. It is no doubt worth a visit to admire the enthusiasm and zeal of the villagers.
The Sacred Forest and Garden of Caves was also a thing to be admired.
And the cherry on the cake was the clean air to breathe and the greenery all around, not to forget the Cherry Blossoms all round in their full magnificence.
Overall an awesome trip loaded with great memories.
Meghalaya is a place to visit and highly recommended. Make Shillong the base and day trips to nearby places is highly recommended.
