点评:Visiting the moor stone circles is one of the interesting (and free) things to do while on the Isle. Very interesting history, there are about 6 sets circle of stones spread over 2 km area. The stones are apparently 2000-4500 years old, from the neolithic period and hold some ceremonial burial sites from that time. There are information plaques on the way to the stones. Flat walking paths through loads of sheep with their lambs makes a wonderful walk. Wear flat shoes and carry rain protection as there are no trees to hide under. We were blessed with wonderful sunshine.
Parking area is small and there was a person selling coffee from his truck in the parking lot so his truck occupied at least 3 parking spots. We went in the shoulder season but apparently, sometimes it can get very busy and then one may have to park a bit away from the parking lot.

停车场很小,而且有人在停车场里开着卡车卖咖啡,至少占了三个停车位。我们是在淡季去的,但据说有时这里会非常拥挤,到时候可能需要把车停在离停车场稍远的地方。
