点评:Parked here in the early hours of the morning, for a charity walk. Paid the fee and only stayed for half the time paid for.
The weather was awful and visibility was poor. The screen on the parking machine did not request a registration number and the 1 sign that gave instructions to input reg number was not prominently lit.
I received a fine as my reg number was not properly inputted. (£100 with the threat of debt collectors or £60 reduced fee if paid early)
I have spent the last 3 months in an appeals process with POPLA and the parking company, where they have sent no credible evidence of miss-keying or the process by which the machines work. They have sent pictures of the car park before the machines were installed and a picture of one of their service vans ????
Two other vehicles entered the car park and turned round (probably in the car park a few minutes) without paying any money. They too received fines of £100 each but had them cancelled without dispute, yet I have been dragged through an appeals process for 12 weeks.
What a disgrace!! I will not be using this car park again as the operator is clearly only interested in making money from fines. Not even providing credible and pertinent evidence during the appeal process just shows the lack of professionalism applied by the operator.
I would advise using a different car park where you can pay and not be fined because of a misskeying error that is not your fault.
