点评:Strenuous and sometimes scary for those of us with a fear of heights, but with the help of understanding friends and our own determination, even an untrained, short, middle-aged woman with vertigo can handle this ordeal. The sign at the beginning said it would take one hour to climb the path but in this 29’ C warm summer we stopped twice so it took us almost two hours. Bring at least one litre of water per person! Unlike many others here, I advise you to hike upwards. This is because it is physically safer (less likely to fall, less damaging to your knees, wrists etc) and less unpleasant for those afraid of heights. It is also very rewarding to arrive at the old village of Eze, where you can find a water tap to fill your bottle, and then go and have a nice meal at some of the surprising inexpensive restaurants before visiting Le Jardin Exotique. We went back to Nice by bus, not wanting to walk the path downhills and already quite exhausted after having not only walked up the path, but walking there all the way from Nice city center!
