苏州博物馆的点评
点评：The Prince Zhong Mansion was the star of the show and was the reason I came. I saw pictures of a throne room there but when I came in person, I didn't see it. I saw that they changed the signage from 2018 to 2025 in front of the Heavenly Hall.
A Japanese person had went and taken a picture of the sign but they have changed the signage since then.
The number #1 reason I went to the Suzhou musuem was to see the Loyal King's mansion which they linked together with the museum. When I first entered the line I was told I should have had a reservation to see it 7 days in advance. Someone in customer service was able to book me a reservation at the last minute. But I wouldn't recommend it, if you want to see the Loyal King's mansion please be sure to book in advance 7 days to ensure that you have a chance to see it. The Loyal King's mansion is part of the Suzhou musuem, so you can't see it separately.
I really enjoyed visiting the heavenly hall, the only preserved worship hall still in tact from the Taiping era making it especially special. I however wasn't able to find the throne room in 2025 although I looked for it, I couldn't find it.
Some useful advice, if you're staying in Nanjing and want to visit for the day you should travel via high-speed train from the South Nanjing Railway Station to the North Railway station in Suzhou. You can take a Didi directly from the Suzhoubei to King Zhong Mansion be advised they won't take cash. I had to pay with a credit card putting it on the back of my phone. It was stressful as I was led to believe Didi drivers took cash. So, be advised about that.
