Dover Museum And Bronze Age Boat Gallery的点评
点评：There’s so much history in Dover it’s almost overwhelming, and this really nice museum does a great job of explaining and bringing it alive.
The Bronze Age Boat is the highlight - amazing to see a cross-channel ferry from before the birth of Christ. Beautiful shape and wood, with an excellent film telling the dramatic story of how it was discovered and saved in the 1990s.
The displays are across 3 floors in all, and I enjoyed lots of other exhibits, like a Roman statue of Venus, and beautiful Victorian paintings of the seafront.
I was on a day trip by train from London. I spent the morning at Dover Castle, and am glad I went afterwards into the town to spend an hour in the museum - especially as entry is free.
A lovely warm welcome from the museum staff and an excellent shop.
