点评:The new toll system is an absolute farce. I accept we forgot to pay for one crossing, having not been over the bridge since the changes and not familiar with the “by midnight tomorrow”deadline. Knowing we will be away for a considerable length of time and therefore unable to receive the letter they send to tell us what we already know, we tried to pay the outstanding amount plus the ridiculous £25 admin charge over the phone, five days after the crossing. After 50 minutes of waiting to get through, I was told it wasn’t on the system yet so I couldn’t pay it. Told to ring back in three days to see if it is in the system then so I can pay it.
Tried the live chat, that takes seven days to respond to, so should be renamed.
As with most systems these days, this one is totally inefficient. Unless you have an hour a day to listen to music whilst on hold of course. Pleased they have already recouped the cost of installing it by the fines though. Sorry, admin fees.
