What a City - a Must Visit
艾菲斯古城的点评
点评：Ephesus is a must visit for history enthusiasts like I am!
Amazing...just to see how the Greek-Romans did build such a city. It was clearly a very rich & prosperous town in olden times, and you have to appreciate the very idea behind it. The way it has been restored, is commendable, too! Some of the original stuff - like the theatres are just awe-inspiring!
Start from the Upper Gate - you get free Audio Guide by scanning the QR Code on your ticket on the Muze Türkiye app. Very good content and explains the details and relevance of artefacts in an engaging way. Walk down, visit the Experience Museum (which is not very impressive), exit from the lower gate and catch the Mini-bus to Selcuk town.
Late afternoon-early evening is fine. Or maybe 8 AM in the morning. Would take 2-3 hours,(with rest breaks) and the terrace Houses include, which are another set of marvellous excavation! Just stand there and admire!
Night visit is avoidable, when instagrammers and younglings are just crowding the area, making it impossible to explore.
IMPORTANT NOTE: I see that CREAOS TRAVELS are responding to visitors' reviews of Ephesus Ancient City as if they OWN the attraction! I guess they are just a Tour Operator, and should not be responding to reviews of Ephesus Ancient City. Tripadvisor should take notice and take action.
