Beautiful and worth a visit but temper your expectations

点评：Beautiful scenery. Ancient ruins (castle, fort, ancient villa) were particularly special to see and the flora/fauna are lovely. The coastline is stunning if you want to just sit on the stone beaches for a while and there’s loads of space to spread out and discover. Rent a bike or give yourself plenty of time to enjoy the walk - both are good options!
It’s a shame that the hotels and other more “modern” elements to the island seem underinvested & dilapidated. The golf course is very low quality and “greens” are soil and gravel. There are multiple abandoned hotels/villas with rubbish built up. We didn’t visit the safari so couldn’t comment to that.
Well worth a visit and we had a very pleasant day out. But there’s a reason there’s very few yachts in the marina. It’s less White Lotus and more White Elephant.
