点评：This is the main entrance to Old Town is the busiest compared to the others. We were here in early Dec and can imagine how crowded it will be during summer peak.
It consists of stone assembly of an Outer gate constructed back in 1500s and an Inner gate dating back to early 1400s, quite similar to most City gates setup. One walked from the Outer by crossing over a long wooden (now changed to stone) drawbridge.
The Gate is embellished with the statue of Sveti Vlaho, the patron saint.Can see many tourists around the setup and taking pic of the magnificent structures.
Scenic and historic. A stone bridge leads across a small green passage to the Old town and
Upon entering the Inner Gate one will see the circular Onofrio's Fountain which is connected to a spring, lotsa of pigeons flying around, to drink & be fed. Further inwards it will be down the steps to Stradun, the Town’s main promenade.
We were told by the Local Guide that recently the Gate served as a filming location for Game of Thrones!
