点评:We were based in Novi Sad for 1 month. So, it was easy for us to just take a local bus from Novi Sad to Sremski Karlovci - just 30 mins ride. On arrival, we were pleasantly surprised to see a charming, historic town located at the base of the Frusko Gora hills.
It was very nice to walk along its streets with very old and interesting buildings on both sides. Understand that the town is often referred to as a “living museum”. It is famous for its wineries. Underground that many tourists come here for wine tasting.
The highlight of our trip was the climb up to Dusko’s Viewpoint (on Donkey’s Hill!), which provided us with a panoramic view of the entire city and the Danube River. This viewpoint is named after the poet Dusko, and there is a statue of him up there. A pity that there is no info provided regarding this poet. Would be interesting to know.
