Who needs Lake Louise?
弓湖的点评
点评：I'll admit, I never bothered with the quagmire involved in getting to Lakes Louise and Moraine. Thanks to Bow Lake (and Maligne and Minnewanka etc. etc), I do not feel the least bit deprived.
I arrived "late" (after 10 am) so the good parking lot was of course already full. I parked at the one which is at the edge of the highway. I ended up walking around one side of the lake, along the Bow river which feeds it, and even a bit up the stairs to the falls. The stairs and trail to the falls are steep and covered with tiny loose rock. I found the footing scary at my age, so I decided not to be a stupid fool and turned back.
Despite that, the water was the bluest, the mountains the gorgeousest, and the sound of the rushing river was so exhilirating. A wonderful day and I didn't have to jockey around hordes of other tourists!
