Lokon Volcano的点评
点评：I would highly recommend a day tour of sights around Tomohon with Jotje. I contacted him on WhatsApp on +62 895‑1550‑7588
Starting at hotel pick up at 4:30am, we visited Lokon volcanoe crater, rice fields outside of Tomohon, highly active Linow crater lake with bubbling geisers, Rano Lewo Langowan hot springs, Tondano Lake, and Kandera Watu waterfall over 7-8 hours. A very energetic and awesome time! Views of the Lokon crater at sunrise were incredible, as was wandering between the geisers. Rice paddies being worked in the morning light also very beautiful.
Driver and car provided. No food provided, but offered to stop along the way whenever we needed.
Jotje speaks great English and was happy to tailor the tour to our interests eg. he was happy to spend longer in the rice fields than planned because the views were awesome in the morning light, and he offered to include the Tomohon market as well but we gave that a pass.
He clearly knows these sights like the back of his hand and often brought us down a less travelled path to find an awesome view. Starting so early to be up on Lokon before sunrise was great, and something not every guide offers.
He is not overly forthcoming with information, but is super knowledgeable when questions are asked, especially about volcanoes and geothermal-ness. This non-intrusive style suited us perfectly, and allowed us to experience each place ourselves before asking for information.
The tour is pretty wild! and his non-intrusive approach also applies to your own personal safety… while traversing the crater edge, or navigating bubbling geisers. Only consider seeing the waterfall if you are up for a complete jungle bush bash down a steep slippery slope….
But if you’re agile and up for an adventure, Jotje is the perfect guide. Just ask a lot of questions and wear sturdy shoes. Have fun!
