点评：What a wonderful stop. We did enjoy spending about an hour at the museum. Far longer than we thought we would be there after reviewing the website in learning about this place. They offered a 45 minute video that described the battle of Iwo Jima that was very informative and worthy of a watch.
The artifacts and reading the letters and documentation is both interesting and heart breaking. It is thought provoking to spend a short time here. It is well done and free to visit althougth they do ask for donations.
The bright shiny star of this stop was the plaster mold of the Iwo Jima Memorial that stands proud outside the museum. It is massive and so well done. This is a great photo opportunity and a nice place to spend some time.
We highly recommend a stop here. It was worth the 50 minute drive here to see this place.
