点评:It took 15 mins walk up the hill from the Cruise Ship to arrive at the bottom where we have to climb 93 steps to the entrance of Fengdu Ghost City.
The Tour Guide told us Fengdu got its name from two men named Yin and Wang who arrived at this site, they became Taoist recluses & it is said they became immortals. “YinWang” means King of Hell or King of Darkness.
Lots of steps to climbs , however a cable car assist us to get up to the temple at the top which is dedicated to Tianzi, the King of the Dead. It was the beginning of the site's focus on the underworld.
Around the temple are brightly painted statues that depict visions of hell, demons eating people, people suffering and sculptures of demons torturing people. In addition, there is a temple complex that contains some construction & carvings dating back to the Tang Dynasty.
It took us a total of 3 hours to try cover the whole complex, I would say its not a great tour for the weak knees as visitors need to climb a total approximately 400 steps vice versa up down Fengdu Ghost City !
