We booked the Miko boat trip from Cavtat to the three islands, expecting a relaxing day with beautiful scenery and some information about the places we visited. Unfortunately, it was one of the biggest disappointments of our holiday.
The boat is very small and clearly overcrowded because they try to take as many passengers as possible. There is very little space to relax, and the boat rocks heavily, making the journey uncomfortable.
The crew was unfriendly and, at times, quite rude. They barely spoke to the passengers. There was no welcome, no explanation of the itinerary, no information about the islands, their history, or what we were seeing. The only thing they told us was what time to return to the boat.
The captain was particularly impolite. The lady on board seemed interested only in counting passengers and collecting money. The sailor, who also served the food, spoke almost no English and made no effort to communicate.
One of the worst things was their attitude toward punctuality. If you are even one minute late returning from an island, they will simply leave you behind without any concern about how you will get back.
There were also several drunk passengers who were disturbing everyone else. They took all the wine bottles for themselves and behaved inappropriately throughout the trip, yet the crew did absolutely nothing to stop them or ensure a pleasant atmosphere for the other guests.
The food and drinks were of poor quality, and the time spent on each island was far too short to enjoy or explore anything properly.
Overall, this felt more like a crowded water taxi than a sightseeing cruise. If you are looking for a pleasant, informative, and relaxing day trip, avoid this tour and choose another company.
