萨克利肯特国家公园的点评
点评：The gorge is extraordinary. Marble rock walls have been worn smooth over ages and at spots the walls seem almost to meet high above. We waded upstream through the freezing rushing water, marvelling at the light and sculptural walls.
Don’t buy the clear plastic shoes on sale at the site. They’re useless - they keep filling up with silt and have minimal sole protection. Buy some closed water shoes before you get there (they’re cheap in Fethiye), or walk past the clear-shoe stand and find the stand that sells the closed shoes.
We got there via the local bus (dolmus). Catch it from the big bus station in Fethiye. It takes about an hour to reach the park. Get there early - catch the earliest bus - because after late morning the canyon is full of visitors.
PS: the helmets at the beginning of the gorge are free to use. I recommend wearing one - all the guides do. The guides are pretty pushy, but they do know the best places to walk. The current was quite strong when we were there in May.
