点评:Jacobs Jewellers is just at the entrance of the Bazaar in Marmaris. I bought a diamond ring in October, but after 8 weeks, I was unable to wear it as the top of the setting came off from the band whilst washing my hands. Jacob is refusing to honour the guarantee unless I go back to Marmaris and take it personally. The ring cost three thousand pounds so not cheap. A goldsmith and a diamond merchant in the UK have both said the ring was set on a tiny pinnacle and couldn't possibly be secure. The ring will have to be completely reset securely, costing hundreds. The reason it can't be repaired with the same setting is that the same thing will happen again, and I will most likely lose the diamond. Please be aware whilst being befriended and invited to drink Turkish tea we have not found them honest people. Consider if spending your hard-earned money on an item of jewellery, buy in the UK where there is a genuine guarantee and a legality for the jeweller to honour it. The certificate you are given in turkey isn't not worth the paper it is written on.
