点评:We arrived a bit late for our tour because lunch was so good at La Azul! The Front Desk at Salentein was understanding and ushered us to the vineyard where our tour was beginning. Our tour guide was a young woman from Mendoza who had been giving tours at Salentein for over a year. She was good humored and knowledgeable and kind.
She led us to the grand cellar where a piano stands in the center of the facility downstairs. It is beautiful and acoustically set up for concerts. There are many rooms that shoot off from the cellar and this is where tour groups go for wine tasting and storytelling. She told us the story behind the bodega and Salentein and she showed us the original vat that was used and preferred by the Chief Winemaker Jose Galante.
We enjoyed their art gallery and visited the shop after the tour.
And, because their wine was delicious, we brought a bottle back to California -- worth the effort.
