点评:The Riva is the Broad street right on the waterfront that runs the length of the southern façade of Split Old Town. It fronts the Walls of the Palace where entry through the Brass gate stands. However we were told that it was actually on reclaimed land over the past century.
It stretches along the way from the Ferry Terminal (red bldg with digital temperature display on the top) at the Eastern side till the Western Marina.
A long stretch of seafront promenade lined with palm trees, bustling cafes, bars and restaurants. With the strong sea breeze from Adriatic Sea at Dawn or Dusk, such a romantic setting.
Perfect for stroll, coffee or relaxing on the deck chairs. We had our lunch at Ariana Restaurant, one of the many restaurants capitalising on the views, and we chose the alfresco seat. Was a good dining experience indeed.
Really hard to say goodbye to the wonderful view of the harbor, where excursion boats, yachts and fishing boats bustle.
Will be back whenever there’s opportunity!
