点评:The website helped to manage expectations by indicating the House was closed yet the gardens and Great Conservatory would be open. It also stated the car park was free for visitors
As we walked towards the entrance there was a board describing the Battle of Brentford in the English Civil War which we hadn't heard of before.
The entrance was clearly marked and the staff manning it were friendly and helpful. A number of concessions should allow a range of visitors a reasonable price for their visit.
The grounds are peaceful and pleasant to walk through with a great range of new and historical exhibits in the Great Conservatory.
A visit to the cafe, which is within the garden centre, is worth it but don't expect a huge range there. Also, try not to let the pigeons follow you into the cafe if you can help it
Heathrow planes can provide a bit of noise but we were lucky enough to have a flypast from 4 fighters and then the Red Arrows!
Overall we had a great time and are looking forward to going back on a day the house is open.
