Fabulous Madrasa, and Fabulous Shopping
Nodir Devon Begi Madrasasi的点评
点评:This seems to be the first port of call for many visitors to Bukhara, and it is easy to understand why.
The Madrasa is spectacular in its own right, vibrant and colourful. But inside it is full of life, more colour and interest as many of the student's cells are now home to some of Uzbekistan's finest artisans.
Small shops sell traditional wares: clothing; art, metal crafts etc. We are talking about very high quality items here, and although the prices might seem high, one will pay many times over in say London. What was pleasant was that the shopkeepers and artisans were keen to talk about their wares, and explain / show how they were made, but without that 'hard-sell' than can ruin the experience.
However, Bukhara is a shopper's paradise, so I would recommend wandering the other streets and markets first.
