点评：There are whiskey tastings (we've joined several), and then there's this. The Distillers' Selection Bespoke Whiskey Experience at Dingle Distillery sits firmly in a category of its own, and if you're even remotely curious about Irish whiskey, do not walk past the door.
The host was simply superb... sharp Irish humour, brilliant stories, and a gift for drawing the group in and keeping everyone engaged. This wasn't a rehearsed recitation of tasting notes; it felt genuinely interactive and personal, more like being welcomed into someone's passion than being talked at by a tour guide. That quality of hosting makes all the difference, and here it was exceptional.
We were lucky enough to share the experience with a lovely group of fellow travellers, a happy mix of Belgian, French, and Dutch couples and the atmosphere that developed between everyone only added to the occasion. These things live or die by the group dynamic, and on this occasion the stars aligned.
The whiskey selection itself is outstanding, featuring some genuinely unique expressions that you won't easily find elsewhere. The curation is thoughtful and the progression well judged. The ultimate seal of approval? My girlfriend, who would normally leave the whiskey entirely to me, worked her way through every single tasting with great enthusiasm. Dingle Distillery, consider that a conversion.
The distillery is an easy 20 minute walk from Dingle town centre, which makes the whole experience feel entirely effortless.
