福冈雅虎巨蛋的点评
点评：This was the second year we’ve visited the PayPay Dome to watch the local team, SoftBank Hawks, play in the NPB. It’s a great entertaining experience even if you’re not a regular baseball fan. Great atmosphere, great entertainment. There’s plenty of souvenirs to buy and a great selection of food and beverages. The servers of beer, ice cream and souvenirs come to your seat so there’s no need to miss any of the game (except for buying hot food). Remember to buy balloons and pumps for the middle of the 7th innings! Tickets can be bought online and collected at the stadium a few hours before the game starts.
This year we joined the Discovery Course, a back-stage tour of the players’ tunnel, media room, the bullpen and dugout. Great value at ¥1600 for adults and ¥1050 for kids 4 to 15 years old. The commentary is in Japanese but scanning a QR code and entering your preferred language will give live text translation on your phone. We also joined the Adventure Course, a tour of the dome roof structure and great a great view of Hakata Bay. ¥2800 per person with a minimum age of 12 years. We went on a game day and the players were practicing on the field during both tours. Both were great experiences for the kids. Each tour lasts 1 hour. We chose the Adventure tour starting at 12 and finishing at 1pm and the Discovery tour starting at 1pm. There was plenty of time to finish one tour and join the next. The staff were all very polite and knowledgeable about the stadium, the Hawks and baseball generally. Both tours made great use of translation devices and the guides also spoke English so language was not a barrier.
Both tours are recommended. Watching a game is highly recommended even if you’re not a follower of baseball.
