Lake Francis State Park的点评
点评：Peaceful, natural setting. Pleasant, helpful staff. Restrooms immaculate! The lady in charge of keeping them clean, does a really great job.
Only problem is tat there is only one restroom.
The other short coming is that there are too few water spigots around the campground. That makes it difficult for many campsites. Only a few sites have electricity and water hookups. However, if you want primitive campsites, Lake Francis can accommodate you!
Would come back here again, after knowing what sites to avoid.
Also, if you are looking for places to hike, you will be disappointed. They are here, but hard to find the trailheads due to very poor signage, and poor quality roads. Four wheel drive is a must on many roads.
Still, the natural beauty of this area is actually enhanced by these modern day short comings!
The river hiking trail behind the welcome/bathroom/reception building is a must see/do. Easy walk through the north woods along the white water of the Connecticut River!
Enjoy, but be forewarned.
