Be sure that you will be staying at Olifants wilderness camp!
Olifants Wilderness Trail的点评
点评：We have wanted to do the Olifants wilderness trail for many years. On the first day that the bookings opened last year I phoned at 7.30am to book for the period from 1-4 May. We heard nothing from SANParks and reported, as required, to Letaba at 3pm on 1 May. To our disappointment, we discovered that Sweni wilderness camp was under renovation and that those guests had been moved to Olifants wilderness camp. We, in turn, had been moved to Twanana camp near Mopani (just off the Shongololo loop). We would not have chosen to do a walking trail in that area, which is densely wooded. It is also not a wilderness area, so tourist vehicles were never far away. Although we did enjoy the trip, it is not the trip that we booked. If you have booked the Olifants wilderness trail during 2024, beware as the same may well happen to you. If we had been notified, we would have postponed the trip but there was no communication with us at all!
