点评:Interesting but Mixed Experience at the Floating Village
This floating village is almost a must-visit. Home to around 300 families, it’s a fascinating place that offers a real glimpse into local life. You can, for example, see children attending school, which adds a very authentic touch to the experience.
The village is mostly made up of shops and stalls selling a wide range of products, though many of them are of questionable quality. At times, the vendors can be quite pushy. Unfortunately, the village itself is not in great condition — there’s visible litter everywhere, including in the water, which is a bit disappointing. It’s a shame the residents don’t take more care of their environment.
It’s highly recommended to visit the village with a guide, as you’ll receive valuable background information about its history and daily life.
We had lunch at the Koh Panyee Village Restaurant, which was surprisingly good. This fairly modern restaurant stands out from the rest of the village and offers a pleasant dining experience.
