点评：The Ring Road refers to Route 1 which loops around Iceland. It is 1333 km long, connecting numerous towns and important natural attractions around the country. The route has plenty of hotels, campsites, restaurants and importantly petrol stations throughout for road trips around the country.
We recently spent nearly two weeks making our way around the Ring Road and felt this allowed us to visit the places we were most interested fairly comprehensively. A one week trip would be about as quick as I'd feel comfortable making the full loop, providing you are ok to be somewhat picky about your sightseeing and overnight stops.
In the end, we felt like another 3-4 days would have allowed us to make longer stays at certain places that we felt we had too little time. A 2 to 2.5 week trip would have been perfect.
