The Residency的点评
点评：The Residency complex, is well maintained and reasonably well documented for a casual visitor. The site is spotlessly clean, with proper benches, public conveniences and some informative boards outside each structure. This is indeed worth appreciating.
Within the same premises, it also houses the Residency Museum. The contents of the museum were a bit disappointing. The exhibits do not do justice to the pivotal historical role that the events that took place at this venue had on the outcome of India’s first War of Independence in 1857. The information was reasonable, but could have been much better presented. The ASI & the Government needs to do much more to create awareness of the lessons to be learnt from this failure of the Indian militia.
