Free Ski AMAZING. VIEWS unbeatable. Cairngorm Resort staff on desk- rude.

点评：The views were stunning, the staff clearly keep snowing pumped out even when the weather gets warmer and the rain descends. That was our biggest fear, driving 10 hours to ski in Scotland only to find there was no snow! The team work hard to.make sure the snow lasts and they pump out fresh snow when required. The log burner in the cafe was much appreciated and the staff in the cafe were friendly. Food very expensive but thats the pay off for the lovely views.
Only criticism was the miserable woman on the reception desk. She was the first person we encountered and she was awful- not quite sure why she was in a customer facing role. I was watching the children ski and merely asked if there was anywhere nearby I could walk the dogs and potentially let them have a run. She told me dogs can't be let off leads in Scotland. I explained I had no idea that was the law? She replied that dogs attack baby reindeer and kill wildlife. Before I could ask anything else she said, rudely "And before you tell me your dogs would NEVER do such a thing..." Then proceeded to rant. I replied that I understood but equally I felt it hard to believe that all dog owners in Scotland keep there dogs on leads the WHOLE time. I then asked about paths and how to get to them but she just seemed annoyed by me at that point.
Anyway, huge shout out to the wonderful Free Ski staff who, unlike the rude receptionist are all WONDERFUL! Kind, friendly, knowledgeable and nothing is too much trouble. Highly recommend the private lessons with them. My children had a 4 hour lesson (with an hour lunch break in the middle). I couldn't believe how much progress they made! Murray was so good with them. We will be back!
