点评：A small but informative museum covering local history in the area as well as also covering ancient Egypt, Africa and Asia. My grandaughter discovered alot and wasn't at all bored. It's just enough. She is a 7 year old and found the Egyptian room, which is set out like a mini tomb, a little bit scary, particularly when the automatic lights go out and it's pitch black dark, but that just added another dimension for Grandad. In the original exhibits room she discovered pull out specimen draws. Don't miss them as most will. Well worth a visit or perhaps you've not been for a number of years and need to refresh. Takes up a couple of hours at most which is just enough for youngsters. Drinks and snacks are available at reception shop and you can sit in one of the rooms. What's more It's FREE entry! You can donate a small amount if you wish or buy a small gift to help keep it going. Card machine makes it easy and safe. Use it or loose it.
