点评:What a great thing! We walked the west side of the Snake River (the side with the view of the falls) from the restrooms in the north to the Japanese Friendship Garden just downriver (south) of Broadway, then we crossed Broadway on the east side of the Snake River & walked quite a ways upriver again. What an amazing green space in an otherwise busy downtown area. Lots of hotels, bars, & restaurants nearby, but we were delighted to find mostly locals using the paths & grassy areas. As tourists do, we stopped for each of the informational plaques & actually learned something about power production & the upriver dam collapse that created the need for water control in Idaho Falls. Very cool! There were plenty of places to find shade, especially in the Japanese Friendship Garden & on the east side of the river. We enjoyed all of our visit to Idaho Falls, but we REALLY loved the downtown area primarily because of this lovely & interesting green space!
