Excellent access for disabled people. Bit pricey
Cornish Seal Sanctuary,SEA LIFE Trust的点评
点评：We hadn't long arrived in Cornwall and started planning our week. I got a leaflet for the Seal Sanctuary and saw that it was dog friendly and having brought our dog on holiday with us, this was a big reason for visiting. Price wise, it's a bit pricey. We did have a 10% off voucher but it still came to about £80 for 4 adults which isn't terrible however there are not a lot of seals at the sanctuary. I guess really it's better that the seals are free and well but you visit a sanctuary to see the seals. There were a few and they seemed well looked after but the seal hospital was empty, as we're a few of the enclosures.
The cafe was ok, good choice of food and drinks, prices are a bit high but not unexpected at these kinds of places. We had a pasty and 3 cheese and tomato toasties although, I am not sure you can call them toasties as they were barely warm, which just made the bread soggy.
Now for the good points: firstly, the toilets. They were very clean and plenty of them. Even the disabled toilet, which was like a portaloo, it was very clean and cleaned regularly. Cannot fault them for cleanliness.
Secondly, and this was such a big selling point for us, the access for disabled people. Fantastic. Not only is there the option to drive your car down to the site of the seals (limited parking but if out of high season this shouldn't be a problem), there is also a van on site where one of the workers will drive the disabled party, and their wheelchair/scooter etc back to the main car park so they don't have to go back up the large hill they had to come down. This is so rare and absolutely fantastic. We were highly impressed by this.
You will probably spend 2-3 hours here, if having some lunch also
