点评:In the centre of downtown Malaga separating the port area from the rest of the city is a long stretch of welcoming greenspace. This is the Parque de Malaga (Malaga Park) also known as the Parque Alameda (Alameda Park).
The park was opened in 1897 and is over 800 metres long and runs parallel to the seaport between the Fuente de las Tres Gracias in the east to Plaza de la Marina at its western edge.
The park has three pedestrian walkways running through it as well as two east west roadways for vehicles on its long edges, the Paseo de Parque and Paseo de los Curos for vehicles. Including two adjacent gardens the total area of greenspace is over 30,000 square metres. Within this are numerous kiosks, a bandstand, a children’s play area and statues of notable past residents of Malag and Andalucia. At the western edge near Plaza de la Marina is a stand for horse drawn carriages.
There are also numerous benches scattered throughout and these and the shady paths provide some much-needed relief from the sun when one is wandering bout this scenic section of Malaga.
