Building site, no pool, no spar, no hot water

点评：I purchased a voucher for my parents to use “buy a gift”. Unfortunately they chose here.
It was advertised as having a pool etc but none was open. Builders all over the place and after being given 3 rooms, none of which could be stayed in they gave up. ( no water, no heat and then not cleaned )
They came home.
We were told by the hotel they could offer a 15% discount on another visit, but they could not refund as it was but a gift. They did say they wouldn’t be claiming the money for the voucher.
They lied.
The money was claimed and when buy a gift contacted them to request a refund it was declined. I must say that buy a gift returned the voucher after a 2nd email but stated it was the hotel who were refusing to refund.
It’s very upsetting as it was supposed to be a night away after a health scare, but turned into a health and safety nightmare in a place that would have not been safe let alone comfortable to stay.
Taking the funds for the voucher after saying they wouldn’t says it all about this place. So it’s only Buy a Gift doing a goodwill gesture that salvaged any hope.
Avoid at all costs.
(My parents are not that fussy, they would have accepted the lack of facilities, but not dangerous walkways, no water and no heat!)
