Worst Thanksgiving meal ever!

点评：This is a review just for the Thanksgiving lunch. We paid approximately $500 for 9 people and had a reservation. The line was incredibly long and by the time we got to the buffet line, there was hardly any food. We were told to just “come back and get in line” even though the line was wrapped around. We had to scrape the sides of the tin to get any mashed potatoes or dressing. None of us got turkey. On Thanksgiving. We had no silverware and 70% of the plates were salad-sized—not that we had enough food to go on them anyway. Our food was freezing by the time we got to our seats and still had no turkey after all the waiting. The salad bar had lettuce and two dressings. No cheese, croutons, or anything. Zero toppings. The shrimp was still completely frozen. We would have been better off bringing food from back home and thawing it out to eat before Thanksgiving. Someone in front of us asked a worker if they did this yearly and they said yes but that there were a few more people than normal. I think it was very poor planning. There were apparently 3 seatings. Ours was at 2:30 and the food was gone before a single line of people went through.
The workers seemed like they were doing the best they could but they just couldn’t keep up.
We noticed that a lot of people were not repeat customers. That was a huge red flag. I would suggest that if you and your family are renting a cabin in the area that you bring food from home or plan to go to Ingles (the best grocery store ever) and get food there. I never leave bad reviews but this definitely was something I had to warn others about.
Either way, our family declares it the Thanksgiving we will never forget.
