Don't waste your money going to Unicoi State Park, GA

点评：This was our first time at Unicoi. We arrived at mid morning and went to the visitors center campground check in. The front door was locked but had a note saying to continue around the walkway to the first door on the left. When we opened the door the staff member in that office was very rude because we unknowingly had used the wrong door. Although we had done what their sign said.
We had booked a campsite and we're told we were too early to check-in even though I had called ahead and spoke with someone who was willing to make some arrangements for us to check-in early at another site before my call was dropped. These staff members said they had no knowledge of the call i may no effort to find out who I might have spoke with. My husband and I have been to numerous state parks, corp engineer campgrounds, private campgrounds and municipal campgrounds. This park was extremely disappointing! The bathrooms were very old needing work. The heaters were something you'd buy from a hardware store that had been chained to the ceiling with cords hanging down but they were off in 37 degree weather. The value for your money is definitely not a good buy. The roadways have potholds, the rv pads are gravel and we paid twice as much per night at this park in comparison to another georgia state park, one hour away.
We simply did not see what all the hype was about considering this was supposed to be UNICOI STATE PARK.
