Decent Mall - from someone who isn't a mall person

点评：I rarely visit malls while on vacation; however, since Hoog Catharijne is right next to Utrecht Centraal, we would take the opportunity to walk through on occasion, and I found it quite enjoyable.
First, it's beautiful and immaculately clean. It was also lovely to take a moment to cool off, relax, and their restrooms (I think they were one euro to use) were well maintained. The "fountain" area, where you can watch the canal boats go by below you, was very friendly, and there are plenty of little cafes to catch a breather. We went to Bagel & Bean for a latte and some tea, and it was pretty nice.
If you prefer a mall experience, there are two hotels located directly in the mall - the Hampton Inn and Crowne Plaza. That's not my preference (I like local culture/feel), but if convenience is more important to you, that might be the way to go.
