点评:I visited this museum a few years ago but had to go back! What a hidden piece of history of Eastham that needs to be visited! The museum is made up of 4 small buildings.
The main house built in 1741 was at one time the home of Nathaniel Swift who along with his brother Gustavus founded the Swift Meat Packing Company. Later owned by the Daley family who restored it and later donated it to the Historical Society.
The Dill Beach camp survived the 1978 nor’easter and was moved from the beach to the museum complex. The same storm destroyed Henry Beston’s “Outermost House”
The Ranlett Tool Museum has a fabulous collection of antique tools. There is also an operational forge - the blacksmith is usually there working on Sat in the fall.
The last building is the Gift Shop a great collection of old and new items for sale.
