Sutton Bank National Park Centre的点评
点评：After spending a few days locally we decided to stop at Sutton Bank for one last walk before heading home. The walk was lovely and views stunning, however the cafe is dreadful and should be avoided until they can get their act together.
We only wanted a quick hot drink and cake so went to the counter to see what was available. The lady asked us to sit down as it was table service, which we did and then waited a good 5 mins before she came back, even though no-one else had come in.
There were no cakes in the large display unit, just some caramel shortbread so we ordered two pieces of that, a latte, a tea and a water. She read the order back, had 2 waters down which we corrected. The shortbread, water and coffee arrived. 10 minutes later I was still waiting for my tea. Hubby said the latte was lukewarm and not very nice. The shortbread was a small piece and just OK. I couldn’t get the lady’s attention to ask where my tea was and after another 5 minutes we decided to leave.
When I got to the till I said my tea had never arrived and she just said “oh I don’t know what happened there”. No apology. Then she tried to charge us for 2 waters. There’s no prices on the unit where the cakes should be and I was surprised to see that a such small piece of shortbread was £3.80!
Suggestions for the management if you’re reading this;
1) get a sign up that says it’s table service and to take a seat (I witnessed more than one poor person politely waiting at the till to order then to be told to sit down)
2) get more staff, one on drinks and one service/taking payment is not enough
