点评：We had an absolutely amazing day exploring the Sian Ka’an Biosphere with our guide Luis. It’s hard to describe how special this place is, the colors of the lagoons, the silence in the mangroves, and seeing dolphins and turtles in total freedom.
But what really made the day unforgettable was Luis himself. He’s from the area and you can feel how deeply connected he is to nature and his community. He shared stories about the animals, the ecosystem, and the Mayan culture with so much passion and respect.
We booked through Guidedbylocals.travel, which turned out to be a great choice because they really focus on small groups and local guides rather than big agencies. There were only six of us on the boat for about 140 usd, so it felt calm, personal, and far from the crowds. Luis made sure everyone felt comfortable, and he always spotted wildlife long before we did. dolphins, sea turtles, and so many tropical birds!
Lunch in Punta Allen was another highlight. simple but delicious fish prepared by local fishermen right by the sea. It was the perfect way to end the day. The whole experience felt authentic from start to finish, nothing staged or rushed. You could tell it was organized by people who genuinely care about the environment and about giving travelers a real connection with the place.
If you want to see the real Sian Ka’an and not just another tourist boat tour, I can’t recommend this enough. Thank you Luis for your kindness, humor, and for sharing your world with us we’ll never forget this day! 🌴
