点评:A chance to see the local penguin colonies in a small group with local experts.
Started with a short talk about what they do and what we might see, then a video showing activity within and outside a couple of burrows, and then an explanation about the red torches and how to use them to ensure there was no impact to the local wildlife.
We saw 5 or 6 Little Penguins at their burrows and a couple of Wallabies along the way.
Emily and Jess were great guides and good spotters of the wildlife.
This is not the big commercialised experience of Phillip Island, but instead, a small local conservation project, which gave a much more up front and personalised experience. It's worthwhile for a lovely evening walk to see whatever is around for that hour or so. Dress warmly as it can get chilly!
Breeding season starts in April, so Feb was quite a quiet month for sightings, but we did see some, so we were happy, although with wildlife, there is no guarantee.
