Nice layout but not maintained well enough to play a second time

点评：We gave this course a try recently, and while the layout shows real promise, the overall conditions left a lot to be desired. The fairways were in pretty rough shape, with excessive potholes and very little grass coverage in many areas, making for some tough lies throughout the round. The tee boxes were just OK — playable, but also showing plenty of bare spots and uneven patches.
The greens were easily the best part of the course. They were reasonably smooth, not overly marked up, and had good color. That said, the speed varied noticeably from hole to hole, so getting a consistent read was challenging.
One thing the course definitely has going for it is the design. The layout is interesting, with elevation changes and a uniqueness you don’t often see on Florida courses. With better maintenance, this place could turn into a really strong track.
At $58 for 18 holes with a cart, it was worth playing once just to experience it. The staff was friendly and welcoming, which we appreciated. But given the current course conditions, our group probably won’t be returning anytime soon.
